About Me
From East Africa’s party capital, Kampala, KabiKabi is a musical innovator who transforms emotions, rhythms, melodies, and stories into captivating, timeless music. Blending hip-hop’s raw storytelling, Afrobeat’s infectious rhythms, R&B’s emotional depth, and Uganda’s rich traditional sounds, he creates a genre-defying experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly unpredictable.
More than just entertainment, KabiKabi’s music is a movement—urging listeners to embrace their journey, chase their dreams, and find meaning in life’s struggles and victories.
For him, music has always been more than sound—it’s an escape, a revolution, and a language of its own. Raised on the melodies from his father’s vast collection—featuring UB40, Lucky Dube, and Afrigo Band—he first emerged as an amateur DJ before stepping into the booth himself. His first recorded track came in 2010 during the Peace Revolution retreat in Bangkok, Thailand. However, it wasn’t until 2021 that he officially entered the professional music scene with his debut song, recorded at Bram Bram Records, written and produced by Jenesis Kimera, and mixed and mastered by Axon.
Since then, his debut EP Morphed has introduced tracks like Take My Love, Maliya, Savinga, and Namiiro—songs that have resonated deeply with listeners, drawing them into his ever-evolving sound. His music has also caught the attention of renowned producers. Take My Love was produced by Aethan, known for his work with Navio, while Namiiro was crafted by Joses Arins Emanzi, a collaborator of Kenneth Mugabi and Afrie. These partnerships highlight the quality, innovation, and timeless appeal of his sound.
With a growing presence on streaming platforms and social media, KabiKabi continues to connect with a diverse audience, offering anthems that inspire and rhythms that move the soul. As his past releases reach new ears, he prepares for an even bigger 2025—six new tracks, a bold EP infused with world music, and major collaborations on the horizon.
